update

Ok.... so its been a long while since i last posted any images, so i thought i'd post a little blog on what i've been up to lately.
Well, college work has been chocka block as usuall. 
Most of the time i have 3 projects on the go at the same time. so it can be pretty hectic at times....   
One of the projects i've just finished working on was a photographer inspired studio portrait,  


Now the photographer that inspired me to do this shoot was Matthew Rolston.    it was a particular photoshoot he did for ANTM that i really liked...   i  really liked the angle that  he used for the shoot & wanted to re-create a similar styling.

However, I'm greatly inspired by the likes of Paul strand & SolveSundsbo who like to use shadows and light patterns in their  images. therefore  i had the idea of combining both styles to see what i could come up with. ,  

here's the outcome of the shoot...

I also used the 5"x4" camera to shoot a couple of polaroids & B&W Film, although i must admit that using the 5x4" camera itself was pretty challenging, however i'm pretty happy with the results. 

  

Hello Again.....

Oh dear!!,  it really has been a long time since my last post hasn't it?? .  so here's a little update on what's been happening since then.
Well,  for starters,  I  managed to complete the previous Photography  course i was on,  & actually came out with an A. Who'd have thought it was possible??... I  mean after studying Art & Design for more years than i can remember, Even then i never even got marks close to that!!...
Now, i'm currently undergoing a 2 year HND course in professional photography.  it's not easy and i have lots to learn. but i'm loving every minute of it. with each project i can see my skills gradually developing, and my Knowledge slowly gaining.  
also i've joined the Tumblr comunity which i LOVE!!. it has so many sources of inspiration for me & sometimes i can spend hours & hours looking at image after image. i will tend to re-blog ones that i like & inspire me, and previously have posted some of my own images.

i decided to change one of the Images so that there would be a sense of ambience to the whole theme, as i think it works better by not having any information of the surrounding area,

Well..... Its been a while since i last updated,  so i  thought it was about time to give you's all a quick little update on what I've been up to.

So..,  recently I've been really busy recently working on Project deadlines & exam pieces, and  last week I went to Berlin on a study trip with the College,  

whilst I was there I was able take photos that i could use towards some of  the  projects,  

The 3 images below are part of my unit 2 Exam,  -   Evidence of human presence,  and are suppose to work together as a triptych. 

I'm still trying to decide whether to keep these as research or to use them for final submission..

9 weeks gone.......

Its been 9 weeks since i stopped smoking & this is all the money i've saved.
 A whopping £409.00 so far!!
soon this will be used to buy my new camera!!!

Insomnia

Again another sleepless night......... 
for the second night in a row I've had less than 3 hrs  (broken) sleep, its not that I don't want to sleep,  most of the time  I'm absolutely shattered... but more a case of  i cannot sleep. and when i do fall asleep,  i wake up an hour later bright as a button. 
this seems to be happening quite regularly nowadays......  I'm thinking that its possibly due to my late sleeping patterns during the holidays, my body's not used to sleeping so early??... kinda sucks now coz back to college tomorrow, 
please give me a good nights sleep tonight.

2011 - Changes

wow... cant believe its been so long since my last post...... really should get in the habit of updating more often. .
but anyway its a New Year so time for some changes.....
This year im going to be more focused on my photography,  however if i do happen 2 come across some other interesting stuff i'll be sure to share with you.
